Frequently Asked Questions
How do secure payments work?
HiFiHub uses Stripe Connect to process all payments securely. When you make a purchase, your funds are held by Stripe, not directly released to the seller, until you confirm receipt and conformity of the item. This payment hold system protects both parties and ensures safe transactions.
What happens if there is a dispute with my transaction?
Our integrated dispute resolution system helps resolve issues fairly. Contact our support team immediately if problems arise. While HiFiHub is not directly responsible for transactions between buyers and sellers, we actively mediate disputes to find the best solution. Since payments are securely held by our payment processor, Stripe, until disputes are resolved, we can facilitate fair outcomes for both parties.
Who is responsible for shipping?
Sellers are responsible for all shipping arrangements. You must use tracked shipping with delivery confirmation, this is essential, as our dispute team cannot help resolve claims without proof of delivery. Additionally, sellers must insure shipments for the full transaction value since HiFiHub is not responsible for items lost or damaged during transit. Shipping costs and methods should be agreed upon between buyer and seller before completing the transaction.
How does the transaction timeline work?
Shipping : The seller has 14 business days to ship the item and communicate the tracking number to the buyer. If he doesn't, the funds will automatically be returned to the buyer.
Reception window : From the moment the seller confirms shipment, the buyer has 14 days to inspect the item and either confirm receipt or open a dispute if the item wasn't received or doesn't match the listing.
Receiving the order : If everything is as described, the buyer confirms the reception to release the payment to the seller, who will receive the funds within 10 days.
Auto-release : If no action is taken within 14 days of the seller confirming shipment, payment is automatically released to the seller.
Opening a dispute : If the item wasn't received within 14 days or doesn't match the listing, you must open a dispute within this window. Disputes cannot be raised after the window has passed or once the order is confirmed.
What does HifiHub charge?
Listing your equipment on HiFiHub is completely free. We only charge a commission when a sale is completed: 4% paid by the seller and 3% paid by the buyer, totaling 7% per transaction. This covers secure payment processing, platform operations, and dispute resolution. Please note that HiFiHub can only provide payment protection and dispute support when you use our integrated payment system, transactions completed outside the platform are not covered by our services.
Which countries does HifiHub serve?
HiFiHub accepts listings from European Union countries, with the exception of Croatia and Hungary due to payment processing limitations. We don't accept listings from outside the EU to keep transactions straightforward and avoid customs delays or fees for buyers and sellers.
